Chaise Longue Fabric Trends

Petite Chaise LyonnaiseThe clocks have gone forward, it’s a little warmer and it is starting to feel like summer has arrived. Those thick sofa throws that have kept you warm over the winter months can be put away and we can now start bringing out some summer inspirations. To help inspire you, we have put together some interior design trends for summer 2014.

1. Elegant floral themes

Light floral themes are perfect for adding discrete colours to a room. Our dainty  chaise longue upholstered in a Clarke & Clarke fabric really brings out the blossoming colours of early summer. This chaise longue is wonderful as an accent piece; you could even make matching curtains out of the same fabric.

2. Pale blues

Pale blues have really made a come back over the past 6 months and this looks set to continue throughout the summer ad towards the end of the year. The simplicity of the colour means it is perfect to fit within existing designs. Pictured is our Oxford chaise longue in a beautiful cool blue.

3. Velvets

Adding a little bit of texture to the design of a room can develop new moods. Not only do velvets look wonderful they are also magnificent to touch. Pictured is our gorgeous Windsor chaise longue that is perfect to read a good book on.

These fabrics are on trend for summer 2014, but they also retain classic designs that are perfect for longevity in the home. Most of our clients want their chaise longue to look in-vogue for 5+ years. If you would like to create a real statement, why not add cushions and accessories to the design that can be changed annually.
